The fall weather is approaching in Chittenango, and fall activities are commencing. People are beginning to indulge in their favorite things like apple picking, fall movies, visiting pumpkin patches, football games, corn mazes, cozy hayrides and bonfires and more. Chittenango High School staff have some of their own opinions on the best way to enjoy the fall season. Mrs. O’Brien, one of our Spanish teachers, along with Ms. Minor, a math teacher, explained how apple picking at Beak and Skiff Apple Orchard is their favorite fall activity. Beak and Skiff is located in Lafayette and is loved by many locals.
Another popular outing is pumpkin picking. Mrs. Fragoso, our other spanish teacher, and Mrs. Kaercher, a social studies teacher, both explained how one of their favorite traditions is going to pumpkin patches with their families. Mrs. Fragoso explained how fall is her “daughter’s favorite season, so it is a very important thing in my [her] family”. Mrs. Kaercher’s family enjoys running as a hobby, and she explained how she enjoys “running on a trail during the fall and watching the leaves change.” There are many ways to enjoy this season; spend time with family, eat yummy foods, and enjoy the beautiful weather before the snow comes!
