The Bears started their second Saturday game in a row against the unbeaten Newhartford team who have yet to be challenged by an opponent this year. The first quarter started with the bears receiving a kickoff and getting a big return. This kicked off the game hot for the bears and then they quickly got shut down by the new Hartford defense. The Bears defense who have been strong all season came out on the field. Yet they got picked apart on the opening drive, giving up a touchdown and going down 7-0 early. The Bears second drive of the game got shut down again. After Newhartford received their second punt and started their drive, they got down to the 20 before the Bears forced a stop. The end of the first quarter ended in a 7-0 score with Newhartford leading. The second quarter led to two more touchdowns, one scored scored by Newhartford and one by Chittenango. Going into halftime the bears were only down 1 score to this powerful New Hartford team with a score 6-14.

In the second half, New Hartford came out hot completely shutting down the bears and ended the 3rd quarter with ease, making a statement. The fourth quarter was about the same as the third with New Hartford scoring more. Overall the bears fought through 2 quarters with the number 1 team in the section but ended with a loss.
