When it comes to deciding on the perfect nails for you, it all starts with the shape. There are many different nail shapes including almond, square, coffin, oval, stiletto, and many more. With shape, there’s also different lengths including, short, medium, long, and even your natural nails too. Picking the length and shape of your nails is very important because it can change the way your hands look all together, plus the length can depend on how much you use your hands.
There are plenty of nail designs and colors to choose from as well. Pinterest has many inspiration photos of designs and that is most commonly where people get their inspiration. However, the designs you pick may affect the overall price of your nails. The longer your nails are and the more complicated the design is will raise the price of your nails. This also depends on the salon you go to. Most local nail salons in the area charge very high prices for simple and low quality work. Personally I would recommend going to an independent nail tech because they tend to put more care into your nails and I find the quality of the nails to be better.
Pricing can become very different depending on the salon or individual tech you go to. Going to a local salon can run you anywhere from $50-$100 even for something simple. While independent techs prices can run the same amount, there are also some people who are beginning nail techs that don’t charge so much. As someone who does nails on other people, I only charge $30-$50 depending on design and length. If you’re looking for an independent tech to go to, it may be a little harder to find though. Most independent nail techs promote their business through social media or from other people. While I do have social media to promote my business, a lot of people hear about me through friends or word of mouth.
So if you’re ever looking to get your nails done, take this information into consideration and don’t forget to ask around for any independent techs to go to!
