My favorite place in this school would have to be the library with Mrs. Alex. Mrs. Alex has only been here for a few years, and she has done an amazing job at making the library a fun, comfortable place for kids to go there, study, hang out, or do school work. Mrs. Alex is always making sure everyone is okay and will have conversations about anything you need to talk about. She has helped me and several other students with community hours for PIG,and she always has a smile on her face no matter what is happening. She’s always checking if anyone needs help. With someone’s personal life, school work,or anything. Over the couple of years she’s been here, she has memorized my siblings and I and things we like to do. My brother and I would go there during 3rd period every B day last year, and every time we walked in there she would have the biggest smile on her face and point us to the board games. Sometimes we would ask Mrs.Alex if she wanted to play a game with us but she would kindly decline our offer. This year she memorizes what periods I go in, and always checks in on me. She would help me with the daily Wordles, or in a game of hang-man. Once in a while she’ll bring in snacks for kids, she’ll leave it open until they are gone, and buy goodies from the special needs kids that make them every week, just to be supportive and see smiles on other kids’ faces. Mrs.Alex has had to deal with a lot of kids that don’t listen or disobey the very few rules in the library, but she also keeps a good, positive attitude. And not only does she give attention to the “popular kids,” but she also puts effort into the kids that don’t say a lot. Mrs.Alex is an amazing person and has put a lot of effort into making the library a safe place.
