The Chittenango Bears football team finished the season with an overall record of 3-6 with wins over Camden, Fulton, and Cartland. The Bears also put up fights in massive games like the New Hartford game and both the ITC games. The Bears leading receiver on the season was Andrew Kielbasa with 321 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. Their leading rusher was Chase Ostrander with 1,216 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. And the leading passer was Mason Corlis with 679 passing yards and 6 touchdown passes.
The most notable part of this team was their outstanding defense when it mattered most and their team chemistry. This defense had 403.5 tackles, 8 sacks, 4 forced fumbles, and 7 interceptions. The person leading this defense was senior Andrew Kielbasa with 79 tackles 2 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery. Kick returner/punt returner Will Smith had the teams 1 and only punt return of the year against the Camden Bluedevils. This Bears offense racked up over 2,783 yards with 837 through the air and 1,946 on the ground. They also had 28 touchdowns combined with 21 on the ground and 7 through the air.

The two most outstanding players coming up for their first year of varsity football were Colin Sheedy with 1 sack, 74 tackles, and 1 forced fumble causing a ruckus at defensive end, and Andrew Packard with 53 tackles, 26 receptions, 224 yards, and 1 touchdown. The Bears special team unit led by Mr. Baran
had an awesome season getting multiple opportunities to score for this offense and scoring themselves with kick returns. The biggest special teams play of the season is when BIG RED recovered the kick against CVA to set up the offense in great field position.
Overall the Bears had a tough but fun season and will definitely look forward to next season with their great potential.
