The Play That Goes Wrong is a comedy about the Cornley Drama Society, a group of amateur actors, staging a 1920s murder mystery play called The Murder at Haversham Manor. Despite the cast’s best efforts, a series of escalating disasters turn their intended serious drama into a hilarious comedy. The show’s premise is a play-within-a-play, with the “main” show being the Cornley Drama Society’s disastrous production of the murder mystery.
As a member of the tech crew for this show, I can say that I’m very excited to see the show fully put together and performed. This is my first, and last, fall play at Chittenango. So far, It’s been a great time working the spotlights with my best friend. I’m very excited to see the actors’ performance and the hilarious mishaps that occur throughout the show!
