In the Chittenango high school this year we have 3 exchange students. Kathi from Germany, Lou from France and me from Spain, all are in 12th grade (senior).
We are liking school so far because we are discovering new things, like food, or the lunch and dinner time. We are doing different sports which are fun because we meet new people and we play in the games. I’m doing soccer and both girls are cheer leaders.
One funny thing that we discovered was that at the State Fair, they sold the cookie dough that I dreamt about for 3 years! We discovered many different foods. In my experience it’s going pretty good.
I’m with the Schiralli’ family, which is a great family for me. I have Micah who carries me to all places, Sarah and Charlie that are the best and so kind. They make the food and it’s delicious. The other day I went with Marcus to pick pumpkins at the farm and it was fun because they gave us some money.
Today I went on the school bus, which was pretty good, but I had to wake up early. We have decorated our house because Halloween is in a few days. I’m so excited because in Spain we don’t celebrate Halloween and I think that will be fun. I started high school 3 weeks ago and it’s different from mine in Spain.
I have met so many people in the different classes and I have learned a lot since I started. All the people are kind, which is a good point, and the teachers are fabulous. I’m starting a new life right now that I’m liking it so far. I’m on the soccer team, we are pretty good, we have won almost all the games, the people in the team are the best, I have so much fun with them, and we also do the team dinner that is so fun.
Some Fridays we have football games at home, on our turf. Almost all the people go and we are in the students section. That is the best because we sing and say silly things. I have no idea of what is happening at the game because these are my first games but it’s interesting how they organize and the cheerleaders that they do very difficult dances and that stuff! He tenido un gran comienzo y espero con ilusión el resto del año.
