Two weeks ago our very own Chittenango high school select choir got the amazing chance to perform with the famous British- American Rock band, Foreigner formed in 1976 in New York City. The Foreigner is one of the best selling bands of all time with worldwide known hits like: Cold as Ice, hot blooded and waiting for a girl like you.
The concert took place in Verona at the Turning Stone Casino, and the select choir had a rehearsal before to practice the song. Every member got a black Chittenango shirt, so they would wear matching outfits on the stage.
Before the concert started they got talked through the formation to know exactly when to do what. And then the whole select choir went to the 7 Kitchens buffet and had an amazing dinner.
At 8 pm the concert started. The select choir sat down in the audience room and got to experience the songs from the audience’s perspective until it was their turn to go on stage. Together with the band they performed the song: “I Wanna Know What Love Is” The whole audience had their flashlights on, and that created an amazing vibe all over the music hall.
“It was magical” says Elise Chatwin, member of the select choir who was on stage with the Foreigner.
