Two weeks ago I entered a plane that would bring me to my new home for the next 10 months. For us exchange students everything changes: the time zone we live in, the language we speak, the environment we know…It’s scary and exciting at the same time! We leave our friends and family behind back home to make new experiences in another country.
I have been in Chittenango for two weeks now. So I have two weeks of experience that I can speak from! When you come from another country, the first things you notice are the differences from home. A big difference is the food. In Europe, well at least in the countries I have been to, we don’t have as many fast food restaurants as the US has. So the first thing I did was try out all the different fast food restaurants. I tried Chick-fil-A and Chipotle… and it was great! Another huge difference is sports. In Germany nobody plays a sport at school. If we want to do a sport, we go to clubs or schools after our school day ends. I really enjoy doing cheer here in the afternoon and having people around me that also attend Chittenango.
