I am a student at Chittenango High School, and this is my last year, as I am a senior. This is also my last week as a student, since I am graduating at the end of the second marking period. I am grateful and excited for this opportunity since the seemingly endless days and nights of school work slowly became more and more overwhelming. Though senior year has been more fun than every other grade I’ve been in, I still feel that this is the way I want to end my school career. The reason I am able to graduate early is because I’m not going to college or anywhere that requires an advanced regents diploma or other degrees, so I doubled up on some classes to get everything I needed to get out of school with the minimal amount of unneeded work and classes. I finished science in my sophomore year because I took earth science in eighth grade, biology in ninth grade, and forensics in tenth grade, so I didn’t have to worry about anything science related for my senior year. As for math, I completed algebra in ninth grade, geometry in tenth grade, and business math in eleventh grade. Social studies has been one of my favorite classes, so I’m somewhat grateful to have both Participation in Government and Economics in my senior year with Mr. Denkenberger, which also both allow me to get a full credit for social studies, concluding the class for me. Lastly, I am taking two English classes my senior year, Public Speaking and Broadcast Media, which allow me to get my full English credit. I plan to work as a delivery driver after I leave my job at Tops, hopefully becoming a happier person without having to deal with as many annoying customers. Though I am graduating early, I am returning to Chittenango in June for Senior Ball, senior trip, and the graduation ceremony. I hope that my fellow classmates have an enjoyable rest of their school year and I hope to see them around in the future.
