The Science Olympiad Team braved the near zero temperatures on Saturday January 31st and headed to LeMoyne College to participate in the CNY Regional Competition.  Seniors Muhammad Murray and Callie DeForest brought home Gold in Boomilever with Junior Chance Leavitt Lenning and DeForest also striking Gold in Robot Tour.  Senior dominance continued with medals for Ian Baldwin, Carter Haarman, Sophia Vecchio, Jocelyn Regner and Jahanna Donegan Wurz in multiple events.  Sophomore Jaymes Ronalds tallied twice bringing home medals in both Entymology and Elecgric Vehicle All totaled the team earned medals in 8 different events.  Volunteering at the event were multiple SO Alumni including Hannah Butler (National Grid), Sarah Vigliotti (SRC) and Dan Simmons (Lotte) who are all working as engineers in the Syracuse Area.  Special thanks to Ms. Bennett for her over 30 years of service as a coach in our SO program and Mrs. Ronalds who has volunteered at multiple tournaments over the past two years.  Anyone interested in signing up for the next year squad can see Mrs. Carpenter to get on the email list.  Thanks and GO BEARS
