The Chittenango Girls Bowling team is off to a hot start heading into a pair of showdowns against the arch rival Homer Trojans. Led by the soft spoken but feisty Grace Tarby, the team sits at 8-0 with big wins against CBA and APW so far this season. Tarby hit the 10,000 pin mark last season and has already tallied another 4,600 this season including a personal best game of 235 against Solvay. Senior Emily Sanefski joined the Bears after bowling for Bishop Grimes the last three years and has posted over 3000 pins along with a season high of 154. Rounding out the scoring for the Bears are Morgan Kairewich, Madeline Lamay, Emma Provo, Maddy Duffy, and Hayleigh Larsen. After the two tough matches coming up against the Trojans, the team heads into sectional play in early February with hopes of a sectional title and the chance for a bowler or two to advance to the state tournament. Keep on rolling BEARS!
