The Bears softball team took a big step forward in potential Section 3 seeding with an impressive 2-0 win over a strong Liverpool team on Friday May 1st. Lauren Machan was tough on the mound going all seven innings, yielding just
5 hits in the win. The only scoring in the game was a bottom of the first Machan SMASH over the left field fence for a two run home run. McKenna Palko was excellent behind the plate with a clutch home plate tag out in the bottom of the sixth inning. Liverpool pitcher Alexis Goodfellow was outstanding, giving up only two hits in six innings on the mound. The Bears are now 10-3 on the season with 7 games left on the schedule including the next five on the road.
